Batti Gul Meter Chalu: Shahid, Shraddha savour bhang ki chutney to jhangora ki kheer

Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor have been busy shooting for ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ since some days now.

In fact some reports recently claimed that the two, along with the cast and crew of the team, ditched the 5-star hotel treatment for homestay.

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror, Prernaa said, “My actors are doing all things local to get under the skin of their character, from eating bhang ki chutney and kumaoni raita to jhangora ki kheer prepared on charcoal grills.”

“At the heart of it, the film is a love story,” Prernaa added.

By the next week, Shahid will be joining his family in Delhi. Meanwhile Shraddha Kapoor will continue shooting for ‘Stree’ and ‘Saaho’.
