Sometimes actors who work in a film are not really sure what to tell the media about their roles, given the various Non-Disclosure Agreements that they sign on. More so when they are working in a thriller or films where the suspense in the film is of paramount importance, they are rather guarded.

Kiara Advani found a way to solve this problem when she was working in Karan Johar’s Guilty directed by Ruchi Narain, the acclaimed writer of Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi.

Guilty is about a story of a rock band where one of the male performers is accused of rape and Kiara plays his girlfriend. “The film is about what happened one night and it is very layered and it is also a thriller. So, I called Karan and he said something so I wrote it down so that I can remember and it aptly describes our film—Consent is a victim of perception. I mugged it up,” admits Kiara unabashedly.
