The perils of documenting Ram Jethmalani

Soha Ali Khan, who is keen to make a biopic on brilliant lawyer Ram Jethmalani, says it is the most challenging film for her.
“The script is being readied at the moment, and it’s a very challenging one as you know he has had an illustrious career. We will need 10 films to tell his story and do justice to his life. So to find the right cast is also a challenge because it will be a daunting role. He fought for the Constitution and defended for all kinds of people, so there is a huge responsibility,” she shares.
Meanwhile, Soha is also thrilled about the digital space like her brother Saif. “I do like that space, and romantic films will certainly continue in India. But when it comes to budget this is the right platform to showcase your work. It’s an exciting time for everyone and I have been offered some interesting stuff on the Web.”
Meanwhile, the actress is enjoying the ride of motherhood and reveals how she takes care of her daughter Inaya’s diet. “Being a mother for me means constantly worrying about the holistic nutrition of my kid. Motherhood has brought along a lot of responsibilities for me. While we tend to pay attention to the well-known nutrients such as calcium, iron etc. Iodine skips the list most often. One of the essential nutrients required for pregnant mothers is iodine as I remember being advised by my gynaecologist to monitor my iodine intake. Iodine is essential for healthy brain development of the foetus and young child,” says Soha.
“For your child, you have to do things every day. You have to change their diet according to the weather and how their body reacts. I need to see her every day and then decide what is she going to eat. Nutrition remains a priority for me. Earlier I was breastfeeding but now I have a diet chart for her, I have a menu that I put up every day,” she adds.
