Backstage Bollywood report
Priyanka, who recently returned to India from her long stay in New York said, Art should go across the world.
If it’s a Bollywood event, chances are that the backstage happenings will surpass the show put up on stage — well almost. For instance, at a recent awards ceremony, Ranbir Kapoor, who reached the venue quite early, was looking for means to avoid eye contact with Salman Khan. An eyewitness at the party revealed, “Ranbir attended the award function, but as soon he got to know that Salman is about to enter the same venue, the actor quickly escaped from there at around 10 pm. Salman was getting ready in his vanity van in the backstage area at the time.” The two haven’t been the best of friends ever since Katrina Kaif walked into the equation, but one was surprised at how quickly Ranbir took to his feet at sighting Sallu.
On a more positive note, Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Kajol lauded the Pakistani cinema owners’ decision to end the long ban on Bollywood films. This move came months after the ban was imposed in the aftermath of the Uri attacks in September.
Priyanka, who recently returned to India from her long stay in New York said, “Art should go across the world. I have always believed that.” Kajol agreed with Ms Chopra, when she said, “Anything which is positive for the film industry at large is definitely something I am all in favour of,” she said.
The star-studded night also saw the likes of Karan Johar, the Bachchan family, Varun Dhawan, Sunny Leone, Sonam Kapoor, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi turning up in their sartorial best.
