Rock On 2 would have suffered anyway, says Neha Dhupia
Neha feels that demonetisation will not effect the box office. If the content of the movie is powerful, it will do well.
At a time when the entire country, including the entertainment industry, has been affected by the demonetisation, there is one actress who is happy about the turn of events — Neha Dhupia. The actress, who is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Moh Maya Money, feels the cash crunch will not affect any movie if it has good content.
Actor Arjun Rampal was recently in the news because he blamed the failure of his film Rock On 2 on the demonitisation scenario.
Arjun, who supports the demonitisation move, believes that the unexpected overnight crisis left cinemas with very few viewers.
Neha, however says that Rock On 2 had a two-star rating, which made it clear that even if it wasn’t for demonetisation, the movie would have suffered.
“If the content of the film is powerful and gives something different to the audience, the film will do well at least over the weekend, if not on the first day, with word-of-mouth publicity,” adds Neha.
