Shah Rukh Khan's earnest request for Zero
Shah Rukh Khan's biggest hit at the box office has been the Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express directed by Rohit Shetty.
Shah Rukh Khan’s film Zero has begun with some mixed reviews. But then certain portions of the film, like the dialogues and some performances of the lead actors, have come in for praise and that has helped the film’s cause.
SRK in an attempt to quell the negativity came to two packed press screening of the film on Thursday night and requested the 400 odd film critics to refrain from posting anything on social media till the film’s screening was complete.
“Please do not put out anything on Twitter. Watch the film completely and do what you want,” said Khan, aware on how a few tweets during the show of his last release Jab Harry Met Sejal sabotaged his release.
“It is not as bad as Tubelight which had Shah Rukh in a guest appearance in a Salman Khan film. Here we have the reverse and it is a better-made film. There have been some fake reviews of the film early on the Internet trying to sabotage the film, but that effect has been quelled and there are some good early bookings done for the first three days which will help the film get a good opening. How much does it drop after the weekend remains to be seen,” says a trade expert.
Shah Rukh Khan’s biggest hit at the box office has been the Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express directed by Rohit Shetty. The film is set to eclipse that for sure from what early indications are. With Shetty’s Simmba breathing down heavily on Zero by virtue of it’s release next week, and will need to add a few zeroes to its box office quickly.
