New Delhi: Music director Dilshaad Shaikh, who has been associated with Oscar winning composer AR Rahman for over 13 years, is all set to unveil his new project.

Dilshaad is composing the music of Indo-Iranian co-production 'Salaam Mumbai,' which has been directed by Iranian filmmaker, Ghorban Mohammadpour and stars Iranian hearthrob Reza Golzar, opposite Indian beauty Dia Mirza.

Son of yesteryear singer Shabbir Kumar, Dilshaad has composed music for various other films as well and has collaborated with AR Rahman for numerous films and live concerts, and has been involved in projects like 'Rang De Basanti,' 'Blue' and 'Kisna.'

Dilshaad's mentor Rahman also shared his best wishes for his protege ahead of his big Indo-Iranian venture.

To this, Dilshaad reacted, "AR sir is an institute himself. Every single day you get to learn something from him. I have learnt new techniques and different styles of producing music from him and as a person I have learnt how to completely involve yourself into what you're doing. I have learnt sincerity, humbleness, from him."

The first song from the movie 'Reza Reza' is sung by powerhouse performer Arijit Singh and is a hauntingly sad number. While the other song from the film, 'Aafat-e-Jaan,' a soft, romantic number, has been sung by the mellifluous Sonu Nigam.

Dilshaad is all set to take the musical world by storm as he unveils the music from 'Salaam Mumbai' which is already earning plaudits for its unique sound.

'As far as my work in Salaam Mumbai is concerned, AR Rahman sir complimented me for my music which I think says it all,' he says.
