'Irresponsible example': Twitteratti on Hrithik's video for Union min's initiative
The superstar, who was nominated by Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore for his initiative, got criticism for his video.
Mumbai: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore recently came up with an innovate initiative on Twitter where he narrated how Prime Minister Narendra Modi wanted the country to be fit.
In the video, he performs push-ups and nominating youth icons, Virat kohli, Saina Nehwal and Hrithik Roshan, asked his followers to post videos showing their fitness activities.
Hrtihik took up the challenge, and shot for a video where he is seen cycling through the crowded lanes of Mumbai.
In the video, he says, “Easiest way to beat traffic, get a cycle. Stay fit India” and wrote how he travels to office in the same way and that sitting in a car was 'such a waste' and people should walk, jog or cycle.
This initiative makes me so proud ! Bravo @Ra_THORe #HumFitTohIndiaFit #FitnessChallenge this is how I commute to my office everyday. sitting static in a car is such a waste. Walk, cycle, jog, feel the earth, feel India 🇮🇳 get FIT! pic.twitter.com/twoI1vna9c

He also tagged his soon-to-be co-star Tiger Shroff, Kunal Kapoor and his parents Rakesh and Pinkie Roshan.
And on that note , I challenge my family @roshanpinkie @RakeshRoshan_N (since it all starts at home) and my friends @iTIGERSHROFF and @kapoorkkunal to inspire people to be the best version of themselves ! #KeepGoing #HumFitTohIndiaFit

Though the superstar got largely positive messages for the video, some calling him an inspiration, others lauding his love for fitness and some posting their own videos in the comments, there was a section who expressed their disappointment and a few who trolled him.
They were particularly not pleased with the actor shooting a selfie video and also riding without a helmet. Not just that, a user called him 'aalsi' (lazy person) and some other lamented the poor condition of roads and environment and one of them felt it was easier for celebrities.
Check out some of the comments:
Are you kidding? There are no proper cycle lanes: motorists, buses, rickshaws & motor bikes having no road disciplines: potholes are common: no proper maintenance of roads: daily road accidents! Daily traffic problems! Just driving once on the roads: does not make any sense!

When the environment is worse around you, even if you try to stay fit your health will still deteriorate.#BanSterliteSaveThoothukudi

irresponsible example to be shooting video while cycling, so many selfie deaths are a case in point @iHrithik

It’s easy for celebrities because of their life style and free Leisure time.

There are people who are struggling daily inorder to meet their daily needs and wants and are really stressful. Mostly they may try for 1 week to follow this initiative and later will naturally forget it

This is called violation of traffic rules. @MumbaiPolice what you are going to do now?@iHrithik you should have done it in open ground rather than on busy road.

They did reply this time as well.
Please share the location details for us to inform the concerned traffic division.

Will Hrithik Roshan also face the same fate as Varun Dhawan and Kunal Kemmu recently? Seems unlikely, but only time will tell.
