The dream team is back

Gulab Jamun was meant to be a sweet onscreen reunion for Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But the audience will have to wait a tad bit longer to savour this delight. The busy schedules of the power couple have affected the film directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Anurag Kashyap.

“Abhishek has another film that will go on the floors first. Then the Kabaddi season starts and he will be there to back his team Jaipur Pink Panthers during the matches. Meanwhile, Aishwarya will be busy with her commitments during the Cannes Film Festival and will need to be there. This film will go on the floors only after May,” says a source close to the movie.

While the official announcement has been made, the recce for the film has still not started. However, the scheduling has begun.

This will be the ninth film together for Abhishek and Aishwarya who had earlier starred in — Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, Kuch Na Kaho, Bunty Aur Babli (wherein Ash had an item song ‘Kajraa Re’), Umrao Jaan, Dhoom 2, Guru, Sarkar Raj and finally, Raavan. This will also be the first time they are back together on the screen after the birth of their daughter Aaradhya.
