R. Madhavan was injured long ago when he was shooting for the Tamil boxing movie Irudhi Surtu, or Saala Khadoos in Hindi. But then he ended up postponing a permanent treatment for a while.
After the promotions of his web series Breathe were out, the actor opted in for a surgery. And while he can’t move his right hand much as of now, Madhavan is on the road to recovery.
Says a source, “He has a lot of time to read scripts now. He has been asked to play an important role in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, and essay the character of the man who takes on Ranveer Singh in the movie. But his shoulder isn’t too good yet. Madhavan, who played the upright cop in Vikram Vedha, is being asked to play a cop in this movie too. He’s keen to do the film, but only if his shoulder cooperates. Simmba will need to go on the floors within a month’s time.”
Meanwhile, Madhavan has already given his nod for a Tamil film directed by his Minnale and Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein director Gautham Menon, called Ondraga.
