Foot-in-mouth moment for Baba

Ranveer Singh is one of the coolest and sassiest actors and the media simply loves him. But, a statement that he made recently has raised eyebrows sky high. The incident happened when the actor was partying with co-star Alia Bhatt at the wrap-up party of Zoya Akhtar’s film Gully Boy.

Baba (the media calls Ranveer ‘Baba’ nowadays) arrived and was posing for pictures, when a woman reporter asked him for bytes. Ranveer, seemingly, ignored the request, ran inside and brought out the heroine of Gully Boy, Alia Bhatt, and the two posed together for the shutterbugs.

As the reporter persisted for a soundbyte, Ranveer wisecracked, “Lovebyte chahiye aapko?” From any other star, this may have elicited an entirely different reaction, but the reporter saw the funny side and brushed off the comment. Alia said, “That’s just like Ranveer.” While Ranveer is funny, it would do him well to draw the line at crassness.
