A still from the film.

Mumbai: 'Force 2' has officially born the brunt of demonitisation and mediocre content, and is on its way out of the box-office.

The sequel, although a fairly appreciated film, wasn't a great success at the box-office, having earned only about 28 crores approximate lifetime business.

According to boxofficeindia.com, 'Force 2,' helmed by Abhinay Deo, could barely rake in 26 crore rupees approximately, a measly figure in today's times.

The film, which was hit by low ticket rates courtesy the cash crunch also was affected by the mediocre content and lukewarm critical response.

The arrival of Shah Rukh Khan-Alia Bhatt starrer 'Dear Zindagi,' has only facilitated the film's quick exit.

The film is expected to do a lifetime business of approximately 30 crore rupees.

Well, here's one more sequel that's failed miserably to live up to its expectations.
