Pari: Anushka Sharma starrer horror drama to be remade in Tamil
Anushka played a very dark character of a witch in 'Pari' that won several praises for her stellar performance.

Anushka Sharma‘s latest production 'Pari' is the most talked about horror films this year. The actress, who previously backed unusual projects like 'NH 10' and 'Phillauri' under her banner Clean Slate Productions, proved once again that quality content works in the industry. With ‘Pari’ it has been established that horror can be lot more than just a few scares. The movie also fared decently at the box office. Now, Tamil cinema, which seems to be impressed with this Bollywood horror film, is said to be remaking the same.
“Pari became a success because of its script and the willingness of a superstar to take a huge risk to back content that was aimed at redefining the horror genre in India. Everyone has taken notice of this gutsy decision. Pari will soon have a Tamil remake! Quality horror stories work in this market and the producers here have loved Pari. The offer on the table is a big one too and only adds to the revenue of Pari. An announcement is expected to happen as soon as the deal is locked. It is a huge success for Anushka,” an industry source revealed the information.
As for the casting and other details for the Tamil remake, nothing has been finalised yet.
'Pari' also starred Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajat Kapoor among others. The Prosit Roy directed film was released on March 2. Anushka played very dark character of a witch in 'Pari' that won her several praises for her stellar performance.
Anushka is currently busy shooting for YRF's 'Sui Dhaaga: Made in India' along with Varun Dhawan. The movie releases on September 28.
