Another film on the backburner
The trio was to come together for a sports biopic, tracking the life of a footballer.
Sooraj Pancholi hasn’t had the best run in the film industry since his debut Hero. He was supposed to have worked with Remo D’souza and Ajay Devgn on a dance project, but that as we reported earlier, was put on the backburner. His other film, to be produced Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, seems to have met the same fate. The trio was to come together for a sports biopic, tracking the life of a footballer. Debutant director Pierre Timmins who has earlier assisted for films such as I Hate Luv Storys and Dostana is to helm the project. A source says, “The debutant director has been asked to make changes to the script, hence the delay.”
In an earlier interview Sooraj had told us, “Yes, the talks are going on but I haven’t signed the film yet. If everything goes well then I will do the film, depending on the dates that Remo will give me. I haven’t got the narration yet. Please ask Ritesh Sidhwani for any other details.”
