Still from Pati Patni Aur Woh

When BR Chopra made Pati Patni Aur Woh in 1978, it showed adultery in a humorous way which turned out to be a big winner at that time. Now we hear that director Mudassar Aziz, who made Dulha Mil Gaya and two editions of Happy Bhag Jayegi, has wrapped his script on the same subject.

According to our sources, the said film is much different as opposed to the ‘78 film where Sanjeev Kumar, the male protagonist, is forgotten and forgiven for having to fall to the temptations of his secretary played by Ranjeeta.

“Times have changed. Women are independent today and make their own decisions. Forgive and forget is not on the agenda anymore. Hence, the film will have a very different take,” says a source close to the development of the film.

Films of the actors like Salman Khan and Govinda like Biwi No 1, No Entry, Saajan Chale Sasural and Sandwich have dealt with the same issue in a more entertaining manner. But then with changing times, the climax will definitely have a spin. The casting of the film is said to begin soon.
