Box office day 2: SRK's Raees leads, Hrithik's Kaabil shows commendable growth

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raees' and Hrithik Roshan' 'Kaabil' have made a groundbreaking collection on day 2.

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Raaes' earns a whooping 26 crore (approx.) on the national holiday of Republic Day whereas Hrithik Roshan’s 'Kaabil' has also shown a huge growth as it has doubled up its collections to around 16 crore (approx.).

'Raees' had opened to a collection of almost Rs. 21 crores while 'Kaabil' was reported to have collected around Rs. 8 crores and now the total collections of the films stand at Rs 46.50 crores (approx.) and Rs. 24 crores (approx.) respectively, according to boxofficeindia.com.

'Raees’ collection is the highest to be ever achieved for a film when there have been two films released on the same day.

However, Sanjay Gupta's 'Kaabil' wasn't lucky on day one, it has shown a commendable growth on the national holiday as it has doubled up its collections as per early estimates.

This was the only holiday where both the films fared well at the box-office and now it will be seen where both the films settle on Friday.
