Actress Kriti Sanon, who is juggling with multiple projects this year, will be seen essaying a small town girl from Mathura in her upcoming romantic-comedy Luka Chuppi.

With this film, the actress would be seen being a UP girl once again, the other being Bitti from Bareilly ki Barfi, but the actress says that the characters are not similar at all.

“Both the characters are very different. In Bareilly Ki Barfi, Bitti has done her schooling and education from Bareilly and was someone not very ambitious even though her thinking was very liberal. She was a rebel to an extent but won’t go beyond her family values,” says Kriti and adds, “My character in Luka Chuppi as Rashmi is very ambitious. She has pursued her education in Delhi and wants to do a job there. Bitti, on the other hand, is very logical and not impulsive. Rashmi is a little more modern than Bitti because of her education.”

Talking about comedy, she says, “In general, it is difficult to do comedy because you have to make someone laugh, which is the best emotion... This is a situational film and we are not forcefully cracking jokes.”

“The most important thing when you do a comedy film is to stay happy because when I am happy I can transfer that energy. I was the happiest on sets and I think this is my fastest film as we have completed this film in 45 days,” she adds.

Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, Luka Chuppi also features Pankaj Tripathi in a prominent role.
