Lust also matters in a relationship, says Bhumi Pedneker

Ahead of Zoya Akhtar’s next short film, Love and Lust, Bhumi Pedneker explains what love and lust mean to her, in a quick rendezvous.

Recently, we caught up with this actress who is happy about her film journey. From Dum Lagake to Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, she has proved to be a lucky mascot for her films. All her films have been a hit at the box office.

Talking about her personality, she says, “I am a confident person but I am not over confident.” About her choice of movies, she says, “My next film, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is also portraying another sensible and an untouched subject, which is considered as a taboo in the society. Actually, I try to associate myself with sensible and out of the box content. I am also looking forward for my next short film, Love and Lust directed by Zoya.”

So what is lust according to Bhumi? “I feel that lust is as important as love. Yeh, ek coin ke do pehlu hain. (Love and lust are like two sides of a coin.) Love involves varied number of emotions but lust also matters in a relationship.”

What will Bhumi do if somebody looks at her lustfully? “If someone looks at me in a lustful manner, I will try to understand the real intentions of the person.”

Adding further she says, “As far as a person is not trying to objectify me into a mere sex puppet and is not into something too aggressive and beastly, it is okay with me. Let’s not be hypocrites.”

Undoubtedly, Bhumi’s attitude on such subjects paint quite a picture for us. And all her fans can imagine why she is choosing content with different subjects.
