Actor Emraan Hashmi is all set to return to the silver screen on January 25 with Cheat India. Introducing the film directed by Soumik Sen, he says, “It is a content-driven film about the education system. Such a film has not been made before in India. It presents an unapologetic view of the education system.”

The film will have some tough competition to face considering it’s slated to share its release date with the Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 and the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30.

Meanwhile, the actor who’s yet to make into the Rs 100 crore club says that’s not the yardstick by which you measure a film’s success or quality. “It’s wrong to undermine a film that has not hit a certain number. There are small films that are hits even if they just make Rs 10 crore. Certain films are made for certain audiences, and those people actually watch them and like them — you can’t call such films flops. Meanwhile, there are some Rs 100 crore films that are just typical popcorn films with short shelf lives,” he says, adding, “Good, content-driven films are remembered for long.”
