Sidharth Malhotra refuses film with Jacqueline Fernandez, again
Although their on-screen chemistry in A Gentleman was appreciated, Sidharth doesn't want to sign a film opposite Jacqueline any time soon.
Despite the failure of A Gentleman, filmmakers are keen to cast Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez because of their off-screen chemistry. However, Sidharth not just refused one but two films starring Jacqueline.
For starters, he refused Race 3 because he did not want to be paired opposite Daisy Shah. And now Sidharth has refused yet another film opposite the Kick actress. The reason: he did not find the script exciting enough for him.
“Sidharth and Jacqueline looked good together in A Gentleman. Hence a lot of filmmakers rushed to sign them together. When Jacqueline gave the nod for this film provided she got a good male co-star, Sidharth did not feel that the script suited his requirements of films that could take his career upwards. So, he refused the film,” informs a source.
Karan Johar’s involvement in Sidharth’s selection of films is much talked about, given how the actor takes the Student of the Year director as his mentor. So, was it Karan who got him to refuse the film, or is it someone who goes by the name of Alia Bhatt who did not want Sid and Jacqueline to be together again? For the time being we assume it is the script.
