While the entire nation is gripped with Baahubali 2 fever, amidst all the hoopla, the epic drama finally hit the screens (7,500 screens in India and 9,500 worldwide) on Friday.

The film opened to a thumping response with a unanimous superhit talk across all the centres, and has been scripting history for its first day collections, making it the all-time highest opener ever in the history of Indian cinema. Analysts say that the Rajamouli directorial has had a better opening than Salman Khan’s Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore) and Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 29.78 crore).

Apparently, the film registered Rs 41 crore (gross) on the opening day. No Indian film has even come close to registering such box office numbers and analysts are predicting a record-shattering business.
