The latest poster of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi has Kangana Ranaut as Rani Lakshmibai standing in front of a massive statue of Ganesha. The actress was also spotted seeking the blessings of the elephant-headed god at the Andhericha Raja pandal this Ganeshotsav. It looks like she’s desperately looking for divine intervention to save her film when all else has failed.

Manikarnika is slated for release on January 25, 2019, and it has had more than its share of trouble so far. After the completion of the shoot under Krish aka Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi as the director, it recently went on floors again for portions to be reshot under Kangana. The actress also got into a verbal war regarding gender and capability with actor Sonu Sood, which resulted in his walking out of the film.

Now, the makers are trying their hardest to salvage the project. According to a source, “The Manikarnika team is fighting against time and working hard to meet deadlines. Krish is expected to return to have a look at the final product before its release. Though Kangana is making some changes, she has kept Krish in the loop.”

Meanwhile, a teaser of the film is expected to come out on Gandhi Jayanti, when it can make the most of the spirit of patriotism.
