Alia Bhatt-Sanjay Leela Bhansali to team up?
According to sources, the two are definitely working together on something that would be a game-changer for both, the director and the actor.
After delivering a power packed performance in Raazi, Alia Bhatt was recently seen paying director Sanjay Leela Bhansali a hush-hush visit. While the two spent a good hour chatting, it has raised curious eyebrows if Alia is the next SLB heroine?
According to sources, the two are definitely working together on something that would be a game-changer for both, the director and the actor.
“Alia is at that threshold of her career where she needs to move even further up. And only a director of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s caliber can give her career and her image an unexpected push that would take her even higher on the road to superstardom,” says the source.
All of Bhansali’s heroines, from Manisha Koirala in Khamoshi: The Musical, to Aishwarya Rai in Hum…Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas to Deepika Padukone in Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat have attained legendary status after working with Sanjay.
Now it is Alia’s turn. Interestingly, Alia was supposed to be launched by Sanjay when she was merely 11, as a child-bride in Hamari Jaan Ho Tum opposite 12-year-old Aditya Narayan (Udit Narayan’s son). However, that project didn’t materialise. Then he made Saawariya, launching Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, instead of Alia.
