New actors under more pressure, says Anupam Kher
Anupam will now be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the film The Accidental Prime Minister.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher who has been part of the film industry for nearly three decades, believes that the younger actors are under much more pressure.
Anupam says, “I think they have much more pressure than what we had because we didn’t have to prove ourselves over and over again, and there was a sense of acceptance. These new kids however, have to prove themselves after each and every film, irrespective of whether it’s a blockbuster or not.”
The actor who has worked in films like Saaransh, Tezaab, Chandini and Dil amongst others, also understands the social media pressure the younger breed of actors has to go through.
“The last film has to be good, and audience is active on social media, so, they are highly stressed, I am sure. But there is no alternative to hard work and honesty.”
Anupam will now be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the film The Accidental Prime Minister.
Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, the film also features Akshaye Khanna, Aahana Kumra and Arjun Mathur, among others.
