Oscar nominated actor James Cromwell is sentenced to a jail time of seven days for refusing to pay fines associated with an arrest during a protest. The 77-year-old actor, who is famous for his work in films like L.A. Confidential and Babe, was among the six protesters who were arrested for a sit-in at a power plant in upstate New York.
JustJared.com reports that the members of the gang, who call themselves The Wawayanda Six, protested the opening of a natural gas power plant being built in the town, which is said to have a negative impact on the environment.
Cromwell told the Times Herald-Record, “If we don’t stay together, nothing will change. Power to the people.”
