Mumbai: The White House press corps recently got a special caffeine boost, courtesy of Tom Hanks.

In his very unique way to surprise the reporters covering the Trump administration, the 'Forrest Gump' star sent a brand new espresso machine to them, adding a note of encouragement.

It read, "Keep up the good fight for Truth, Justice and the American way. Especially for the Truth part."

The note, typed in Hanks' signature style, includes an illustration with the caption, "Fresh, spirited American troops, flushed with victory, are bringing in thousands of hungry, ragged, battle-weary prisoners."

Journalist Peter Alexander took to Twitter to thank Hanks for the gift and wrote, "BREAKING: White House press corps receives brand-new espresso machine from @tomhanks. Come for the coffee... stay for his note."

Reportedly, this is the third espresso machine sent by the ' Sully' actor to journalists covering the White House, as part of a tradition he started in 2004.
