Comedian and television host Bill Maher brought upon himself quite some hate when he used racial slur while making a joke on live TV while hosting HBO’s show Real Time with Bill Maher. He let the N word slip when he was interviewing a Republican Senator on the show, and now, he has apologised for the word that he uttered.

TMZ.com reports that Maher released a statement saying, “Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I’m up reflecting on the things I should or shouldn’t have said on my live show. Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment.” He added that using that word on the show was offensive, regretful, and that he is very sorry.
