In an unexpected turn of events, rapper Iggy Azalea has announced a collaboration with her former rival Azealia Banks. Both the rappers will get together to work on Iggy’s upcoming album, Digital Distortion, that is slated to release later this year.

The duo has been involved in a feud for years now, which started in 2014, when Banks slammed Iggy for staying mum on ‘black issues’, and Iggy followed up with her retort, and called Banks a “miserable, angry human being”.

JustJared.com reports that Iggy disclosed the news on Snapchat on Monday, as she wrote, “Public Service Announcement, Azealia is going to be on DD. We are collaborating. Burn your wigs now or preserve them in your freezer for release day.”

Fans are visibly taken aback by the news, and Iggy has not shied away from the elephant in the room. Addressing it, she wrote on Twitter, “I don’t expect you guys to understand why I would collaborate with someone who has publicly said they hope I die. This has been something extremely negative for so long, if there is a way to make it positive and also be creative together, I’m here for it.”
