Harvey Weinstein boasted about having slept with me: Gwyneth Paltrow
The actress said that Weinstein told aspiring actors to sleep with him after boasting of his sexual exploits with her.
Los Angeles: Actor Gwyneth Paltrow has said embattled Hollywood producer lied to multiple women that she slept with him.
Weinstein has been accused of sexual abuse by over 50 women. However, he has denied the allegations.
Paltrow, 45, told The New York Times that Weinstein told aspiring actors to sleep with him after boasting of his sexual exploits with Paltrow.
"He's not the first person to lie about sleeping with someone... but he used the lie as an assault weapon," Paltrow said.
The actor said she talked to his other accusers personally and called the incidents "devastating".
After investigations by The New York Times and The New Yorker that revealed sexual harassment and rape allegations against Weinstein, multiple women came forward to accuse the director of abuse.
Prominent actors such as Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, Angelina Jolie, including Paltrow and others, also came forward to narrate their experiences with the producer.
In an earlier statement, Paltrow revealed that Weinstein tried to harass her, but she rebuffed his advances and even told her the then boyfriend Brad Pitt about it.
Pitt confronted Weinstein and told him to stay away from Paltrow.
