Fans have heard so much about Jimmy Kimmel’s son Billy’s heart condition and have also seen the host cry on stage. Finally, the little boy himself came on-air to greet the onlookers for the first time, following his second heart surgery.

Jimmy brought Billy out during his monologue for the late night show and said tearfully, “This guy had heart surgery, but look he’s fine everybody! Daddy cries on TV but Billy doesn’t.”

JustJared.com reports that Jimmy went on to thank the doctors who helped Billy and explained how a program called CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) is at risk of being defunded which would impact the one in eight children who use the service to receive life-saving medical care. He encouraged viewers to call the House and Senate to tell them to fully fund CHIP.
