Fans took it hard as they learnt that the popular TV show 2 Broke Girls was cancelled after completing six seasons. Lead actresses Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs took the news gracefully, and took to Twitter to respond to it.

“We’ve had a wonderful six seasons as Max and Caroline and we thank all of your for watching and enjoying it along with us,” they wrote and added, “We are so proud of our time on 2 Broke Girls and all of the things this experience has given us, the most treasured is our lifelong friendship.”

However, in an interview to TVLine after the final episode of the sixth season, showrunner Michelle Nader had said, “This is not the end for these girls. We’re not finished and we don’t want to be finished and I don’t think the audience is finished. Obviously, there’s no guarantee that we will be back, but we did not write the episode as a series finale.”

A sister concern of the media house had earlier reported that negotiations between CBS and Warner Bros, the studio that produces the show, were tense and since CBS had no ownership in the show, it could not be revived, despite it being loved by many.
