After singer Taylor Swift’s back catalog returned to music streaming services (aside from Apple Music) recently, her songs were streamed 47.5 million times in their first week.
Billboard.com reports that according to Nielson music, this is a huge jump from the 7.3 million streams her songs were previously generating on Apple Music. Tay reportedly made almost $397,000 in revenue and other royalties from the surge, reports E!News.
“In celebration of 1989 selling 10 Million Albums Worldwide and the RIAA’s 100 Million Song Certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalog available to all streaming services,” Taylor Nation wrote on Instagram.
