Lady Gaga comes to Ed Sheeran's defense after he quits Twitter
The singer has said that Ed Sheeran deserves love and respect like all humans do in an Instagram post.
Los Angeles: Lady Gaga has come out in support of British singer Ed Sheeran after the latter decided to quit microblogging website Twitter.
Sheeran, 26, took off the social media platform after being blasted with "mean" comments.
"What an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED @edsheeran deserves all our love and respect like all humans do.
"I wish all people on the Internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean. No reason to tear down an artiste simply because they are on top. Work harder to be kinder everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity," Gaga, 31, wrote on Instagram.
The 'Shape of You' hitmaker had said that the platform was mostly used to humiliate others.
