Hina Khan, often touted as the favourite bahu of the small screen, is not shying away from experimenting. Her entering Bigg Boss Season 11 came as a surprise to all her fans, but she assures them she will be herself on the show and will not cross her limits.

“I am a huge fan of Bigg Boss and I have watched all the seasons, so I know more or less how it works. I know how to conduct myself. If you are able to handle it fine, then it’s not a problem,” said Hina, before entering the house.

“There are people like Kamya Punjabi, Urvashi Dholakia, Gauahar Khan, who were all so good. If you know where to draw the line, you should be fine,” she added.

When asked what her parents’ reaction was when she decided to enter this controversial show, she said, “My parents clearly said ‘no’. They said it’s not my cup of tea because I am short-tempered. But their perception also changed and they have also seen a change in me post Khatron Ke Khiladi.”

“When I was about to sign this show, I asked him to trust in the upbringing that he had given me, and he finally agreed. Since then, he has stood by me. It’s all about your class and standards,” she added.

The actress turned 29 on October 2, and she said that she has already had pre-birthday celebrations. “I’m turning 29 and I will miss all the fun. I tried telling the Bigg Boss team to start on Oct 3 but they said no. I so wanted to celebrate my birthday but it’s okay now, I will make new friends. I have had many pre-birthday celebrations so that’s okay.”

While there have been reports that Bigg Boss is all scripted, Hina dismissed all these reports, saying, “Nobody has come to me with a script. I spoke to everyone and no one said it’s scripted. I wouldn’t follow a script if I were given one. I wouldn’t do anything for masala. I want to be myself in the house. It’s all about mind games and they make you do different tasks.”

The actress, who played the role of Akshara for eight long years, in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, says she is grateful that she is doing different things.

She says, “I am so thankful to God that I am trying different things and getting such a positive response from my fans.”
