Sonali Bendre is not directing any episodes of Aarambh
The TV show features Karthika Nair and Rajneesh Duggal in lead roles in a finite series with 65 episodes.
Touted as the Baahubali of television, Goldie Behl’s much-awaited historical fantasy Aarambh, produced by Srishti Arya is set to go on air from June 24 on Star Plus. K.V Vijayendra Prasad, who has written Bollywood blockbusters including Baahubali, Baahubali 2 has written the show.
There were reports that Goldie’s wife Sonali Bendre will be directing a few episodes of the show, but the former has denied any such developments. “No, that’s not true at all. She has not directed anything, Sonali has been a great wife and her contribution has been to tolerate my mood swings at home,” Goldie laughs. The TV show features Karthika Nair and Rajneesh Duggal in lead roles in a finite series with 65 episodes.
He further added, “Sonali is not much of a films person, she enjoys reading a lot. I think she is a bit biased because she likes everything that I do. But her views are driven by books most of the time.”
Ask Goldie if he would like to direct a film written by Vijayendra Prasad and he says, “I am constantly in search of a good story and then I select the medium whether it’s TV or films. I would love to work with Prasad in a film but let’s see if we get a good script.”
