The hosts were down to 10 men after skipper N.P. Pradeep got the marching orders after a second booking in injury time of the first half.

Syrian striker Mahnoud Al Amna opened the scoring for the visitors which was nullified by Ryuki Kozawa. The hosts went ahead through substitute Jayesh Rane in the second half while Sporting substitute Victorino Fernandes ensured the draw.

Sporting had a first sniff when Amna made a dangerous run into the penalty area from the right but slotted it wide in the third minute. Amna, though was on target in the seventh minute off a long ball from Loveday Okechukwu

The hosts equalised in the 18th minute with a good move from the centre as Kozawa calmly lobbed a forward ball from Pratik Chowdhary over advancing goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharja.

Jayesh Rane came in for Rohit Mirza early in the second half and was soon in the thick of action as he coolly slotted the ball between Arindam’s legs to put the hosts up 2-1 after surging in from the left. Substitute Fernandes who had just come on for Amna came up with an equaliser in the 59th minute latching on a poor clearance from defender.
