Bengaluru FC officials chose not to add fuel to fire by sticking to their stance following Delhi Dynamos’ statement that the I-League club had wrongfully contacted striker Robin Singh to join their pre-season camp and thereby breaching Fifa norms.
The situation came to light after it was reported that Dynamos had failed to sign a agreement to release Robin back to BFC despite repeated contact from the JSW-owned side. The matter escalated when the striker was injured while on national duty and BFC said the player would now be signed on a pro-rata basis, which meant that payment would start only after the player is fit.
