Make-up die-hard or not, a couple of beauty hacks can prove to be life-savers.
Make-up die-hard or not, a couple of beauty hacks can prove to be life-savers. Charumathi GR, celebrity make-up artist and stylist gives us a low-down on the beauty trends that are going to be big all year round. When it comes to make-up and grooming this season, simplicity is key. Charumathi maintains how a natural look is going to reign supreme in 2016. “The barely there make-up trend is not going away any time soon. I’m in favour of this look as it gives a natural glowy sheen for most skin types,” she adds.
As subtlety and an unfussy appeal gain momentum, the celebrity make-up artist reiterates the importance of cleaning up. “No matter where you’re headed, make it a point to start with a good cleansing. While monthly clean-ups are advised, you can also invest in a good moisturising cleanser,” she says.
Taking a cue from how A-listers like Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor are opting for the minimalist look, Charumathi elaborates on the must-haves. “Always keep a volumising mascara and a nude gloss in your pouch. Well-defined brows are trending, so shape them right if you’ve got lush eyebrows. And if they’re sparse, fill them with a shade darker than your natural hair colour.”
And for your pout, deeper and bolder shades are still in vogue. Revealing a fail-safe hack, she tells us how matching the blush with your lip colour would make it bright without making it seem overdone. “Scarlet lips, deep berry, or even a bold orange for that matter can make your face look instantly brighter. But ensure you don’t highlight your eyes while painting your pout in dark hues. Nude eyes with a soft touch of mascara or the classic winger linger should suffice,” she says in conclusion.
