Do you often find yourself tilting the selfie stick with accurate precision, just to be able to snap that perfect selfie shot Or better yet, ever felt that heavy feeling of regret strike, for not having taken a selfie when you could Well, you aren’t alone – the selfie craze that hit fever pitch only seems to be getting bigger, and even celebs are privy to the game. Rihanna, who constantly treats her fan following to interesting selfies or Heidi Klum and Mel B’s tongue in cheek selfie at the America’s Got Talent or better yet, the Kardashian clan that never really leaves a stone unturned when it comes clicking immaculate selfies with their signature pouts and poses. Obama’s daughters, Sasha and Malia’s, too were evidently bitten by selfie bug, when the young girls decided to post selfies during his second inauguration, which quite made news.

A closer look back home, actresses like Sonakshi Sinha and Shraddha Kapoor are quite a pro at getting it right even with no-make selfies – From using snazzy editing tools or perfecting the art of taking pictures using the right angle, they’ve mastered the craft down pat!

We take a deeper look at the craze and the effort that goes into the fine art of ‘selfie’taking!

An ardent follower of the practice, Bollywood actor and model Nicole Faria opines, “ I won’t lie, I do take a good number of selfies. If you scroll through my Instagram page (Nicole Faria9), you’d see it! There’s not one particular angle that I stick to, really. For me it’s more about the lighting than the other aspects. I like to play around camera angles and lighting. I usually don’t use filters. But if I do, snapchat’s new filters are really cool. I think it’s a pretty harmless act that can perk up an otherwise dull day!”
