The Trunk Show—Style for a Cause is back in the city and this year there are 20 upcoming designers featuring some of the most edgy and sought-after young designs from across the country.
The show is held in aid of Concern India Foundation, a non-profit organisation, which extends its support to over 270 programmes across India, in the areas of education, health and community development.
Here is a sneak peek of some of the featured designers: Artisau: Artisau emphasises the wisdom in dressing, simple and carefully integrating the ancient Indian practices of sewing and darning into details of importance. Made of only natural fabrics and hand woven in various parts of the country, the label uses muted tones relying on classic combinations of black and red or slate and black. Mrinalini: Mrinalini slows down frenetic fashion. The label unfolds relaxed lines and easy silhouettes with luxury fabrics and laid back casuals. Ikai by Ragini Ahuja: The collection offers hand done tie-dyes in a palette of acid yellows, deep nude, and navy, blush pink and black. Love Birds: With straight lines, boxy, comfortable and effortless silhouettes, the collection is aimed to be a striking representation of the delicate urban theme of beauty and appearances.
