Filaantro helped and provided all support and hand-holding to Mr. Nandkumar D. Mohite who is a farmer by profession in raising funds
Filaantro is an online crowdfunding platform helping individuals and organizations to raise funds by collecting donations. Founded in 2019 by Mr. Jiji John, Mr. Sunil Varghese, Mr. Jugender Singh and Mr. Rajendra Pathak, Filaantro is leading with the vision of connecting individuals and communities through their platform and inspiring them to raise funds for the greater good.
Recently Filaantro helped and provided all the required support and hand-holding to Mr. Nandkumar D. Mohite who is a farmer by profession in raising funds. Mr. Nandkumar D. Mohite is a HSC pass-out who wanted to continue his studies but due to his poor family background, he couldn’t do so.
It is his dream to empower the students of his village by proving them with higher education through the Samiti. Initially, the College was supported with donations received from patrons but as the number of students grew, the requirement for basic amenities and infrastructure grew as well and Mr. Mohite realized that they need more funds. But since he is not much educated and was unaware of internet and the magic of crowdfunding till the time someone suggested him to raise funds through Filaantro, a leading crowdfunding organization in India.
Another recent initiative by Filaantro is raising funds for Assam Flood Relief. Child Help Foundation(CHF), a Pan India non-profit organization, and its leading crowdfunding partner Filaantro came together to help the needy and raise funds for the Assam Flood Relief.
Under the Humanitarian Relief Program, the organizations are reaching out to flood-affected families in different areas in Assam and the organizations together aim to help more than 2000 families from the affected regions and provide them with Ration Kits, including raw ingredients of daily use, packaged food, mustard oil, sanitary napkins, and mosquito racquets. Filaantro is running a campaign to raise funds for homeless people and children too.
