The girls aged 15 and 16 years had gone missing on February 20 with their families alleging that they had been abducted by some people, who had visited their relatives in the village.
When the families of the dalit girls approached the police station, authorities did not lodge a written complaint assuring them of sorting out the matter through negotiations.
As the families remained clueless even a week after the incident, they approached higher authorities on Tuesday requesting speedy investigations into the case.
