CRPF jawan injured in Naxal blast

The injured jawan was airlifted to Raipur for treatment.

Bhopal: Maoists on Friday triggered an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Chhattisgarh’s south Bastar district of Dantewada, causing injuries to one CRPF jawan.

According to a senior Dantewada district police officer, the incident took place in Aranpur area when a search party comprising personnel of 231st battalion of CRPF was conducting combing operations in the region.

Maoists detonated the IED blast targeting the search party leading to injuries to one jawan, he said.

The injured jawan was airlifted to Raipur for treatment.
