The incident has prompted a scathing attack by opposition parties against chief minister Nitish Kumar's good governance.
Patna: Deteriorating law and order scenario and rising cases of mob lynching have aroused political temperature in Bihar. On Wednesday two people including a minor were killed by an unruly mob in Bihar’s Nalanda district. Police said the murder of local RJD leader Indal Paswan triggered a massive protest which led to the killing of two people.
Indal Paswan an influential RJD leader was returning home at Magadha Sarai village under Deep Nagar police station after attending a funeral on Tuesday evening when unidentified assailants opened fire and killed him.
“A probe has been launched to nab those who have been involved in the murder of RJD leader Indal Paswan. According to our reports, the two persons were killed by protesters on suspicion of being involved in the killing”, a local police official said.
The incident has prompted a scathing attack by opposition parties against chief minister Nitish Kumar’s good governance. According to RJD and Congress party the crime graph started climbing up after JD (U) returned to NDA fold and formed a government with BJP in July 2017.
