Congress sees changes in state AICC posts

New Delhi: In a series of changes, the Congress has brought in Gujarat leader Shaktisinh Gohil as AICC In-Charge of Bihar. Mr. Gohil replaces former union minister C.P Joshi who was till now holding the charge of Bihar. While senior Bihar leader Anugrha Narayan Singh has been made the AICC In-Charge of Uttarakhand. Mr. Singh replaces veteran Congress leader and MP Ambika Soni. However Ms Soni continues to look after Jammu and Kashmir while Mr. Joshi is still looking after the North Eastern states.

Just last week, the Congress had replaced its general secretary of the organization — Janardhan Dwivedi with former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot — veteran Congress leader BK Hariprasad was also relieved of his charge of Odisha and former union minister Bhanwar Jitendra Singh was appointed in his place. Since his appointment as Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been bringing in changes in the AICC organization. Sources add that several other changes in the AICC hierarchy are in the offing.
