Mohan Bhagwat to attend local languages meet
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will address a seminar on promotion of Indian regional languages in the judicial system on April 6.
New Delhi: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will address a seminar on promotion of Indian regional languages in the judicial system on April 6. The RSS is of the view that with English being preferred in court proceedings, a common man feels “alienated” from the proceedings and develops apprehension with the judicial process.
The RSS has been running a campaign “Bharatiya Bhasha Abhiyan’ since 2012 to promote Indian languages, including in the education system and the judiciary.
In its recent Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha meeting in Nagpur, the RSS had passed a resolution on the need to protect and promote “Bhartiya” languages.
The April 6 event is being organised by Sangh Parivar affiliate Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, which has been spearheading the campaign to promote Indian languages. Mr Bhagwat will also inaugurate an exhibition on the same theme. A day later, the Nyas will be organising another event on promotion of Indian languages in the judiciary.
