10 arrested for helping militants in J&K Valley
It was on the basis of material evidence collected by the team that four persons were taken into custody for questioning.
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested 10 persons who were allegedly helping militants in carrying out violent acts in the southern parts of the Kashmir Valley.
On Monday, a police spokesman said here that the accused were part of two modules of Jaish-e-Muhammad. He said that a special team had been constituted by the police following a surge in militant attacks in Tral area.
It was on the basis of material evidence collected by the team that four persons were taken into custody for questioning.
He also said that another module was busted in Khrew area of Pulwama following the arrest of six associates of the militants belonging to the Jaish.
The police also claimed detaining eight other militant “associates” who were planning to snatch weapons from police personnel in various parts of the Kashmir Valley.
