Pak Kartarpur team to visit March 14
Islamabad also pledged to continue its weekly contact at the military operations directorates level with India.
New Delhi: In a sign of the tremendous diplomatic pressure that it is under and its desire for a return to normalcy, Pakistan announced on Tuesday that its high commissioner in New Delhi would be returning to India after completion of consultations in Islamabad and that its team would be visiting New Delhi as scheduled on March 14 to discuss the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor modalities. Islamabad also pledged to continue its weekly contact at the military operations directorates level with India.
In a statement, Pakistan said, “The acting Indian high commissioner was called to the ministry of foreign affairs on Tuesday by Dr Mohammad Faisal, the director general of South Asia and Saarc, and the following was conveyed: Pakistan’s high commissioner to India will be returning to New Delhi after completion of consultations in Islamabad.”
Pakistan added, “The Pakistan delegation will visit New Delhi on 14 March, 2019, followed by the return visit of the Indian delegation to Islamabad on 28 March, 2019, to discuss the draft agreement on Kartarpur Corridor.”
It further said, “Pakistan commits to continued weekly contact at the military operations directorates level.”
