CBI to file 3 FIRs in Muzaffarpur shelter home case
Hearing the petition, Muzaffarpur POCSO court had directed the CBI under 164 of the CrPC to look into the prayers of the petitioner.
New Delhi: The CBI, investigating the Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual abuse case, is set to register three fresh FIRs against the private persons, who allegedly have links with the prime accused Brajesh Thakur, on the basis of revelations made by certain victims.
Sources said, “The central probe agency is preparing to register three fresh cases to probe the role of three private persons who are allegedly linked to Thakur. The agency will soon call them for questioning”.
It may be recalled that a special POCSO court in Muzaffarpur recently directed the CBI to record the statement of an accused doctor in the case and look into allegations made by him against several senior government officials and private persons.
Dr Ashwani Kumar, accused of administering sedatives to the victims, had filed a petition before the POCSO court alleging that the “CBI is suppressing facts” and that the investigative agency had recorded his statement but did not incorporate it in thechargesheet.
