Bhopal: AICC general secretary and former chief minister Digvijay Singh on Monday dared the Centre to furnish details on people struck off from draft National Register of Citizens (NRC) of Assam, claiming that one third of them were Hindus.

The Centre was “hiding” details on the people who were removed from the draft NRC of Assam for fear of receiving flak in other parts of the country since around 14 lakh people of them were Hindus, Mr Singh told reporters a in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

“I challenge the Centre to give details on the people who could not make it into the draft NRC,” he added.

Mr Singh also questioned the Rafale deal made with France by India, claiming that it was revised after the Modi government came to power at the Centre favouring the European country.
